Aurora Ominika-Enosse: Algoma--Manitoulin--Kapuskasing

Aurora Ominika-Enosse is Ojibway from Wiikwemkoong Unceeded Territory. She is a nineteen-year-old Anishinaabe kwe. Currently, she is a first year undergraduate student at Carleton University, studying to obtain her Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Indigenous Studies. Aurora is former Miss Wiikwemkoong (2017-2018), through this role she was able to learn and connect with a variety of people across Turtle Island. Through that role, Aurora has traveled and has had the opportunity to speak at multiple events. She is passionate about advocating for Indigenous rights such as the amount of Indigenous children in the foster care system, along with Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women/Girls. Aurora aspires to work with organizations such as the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women National Inquiry and the First Nation's Caring Society of Canada.
